Police arrest Lulu’s mother’s kidnappers •Parade 17 others

Twenty-three suspects were on Thursday paraded by police authorities in Kogi State, among them were six persons suspected to have kidnapped Hajia Laruba Abdullahi, mother of former president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Mallam Abdullahi Magaji, the abductors of Lulu’s mother were from Anambra and Enugu states.
He gave their names as  Nnamdi Okafor, who is the ring leader; Paul Oretueze; Chinedu Okoye; Sunday Nwachukwu; Ezeagwu Chukwuka and Lawrence Okebua.
Contrary to initial impression that no ransom was paid for the release of the old woman, the suspects were said to have collected N4.5 million as ransom.
The suspects were said to have confessed that two close relations of the Lulu family from Idah in Kogi State, now at large, had contacted them in Enugu about the media report which alleged the stupendous wealth of the erstwhile NFF president and invited them to get their own shares.
